Attending a Convention Committee (ConCom) meeting is a great place to start helping Arisia. These monthly planning meetings are where we check in about the progress we've made toward this year's Arisia. ConCom meetings are always open to the public, and many Arisia staffers started out by attending one. Whether this is your first Arisia, or you've been coming for thirty years, we'd love to have you join the team.
Arisia ConCom meetings are hosted online via Zoom. These are fairly informal meetings, with an agenda set by the moderator. These meetings often run for 1.5 to 2 hours, Sometimes, people continue to chat after the formal meeting has ended.
An email with a link to the Zoom session will be sent to the announce mailing list for Arisia Staff. If you are interested in attending a Zoom ConCom meeting for the first time, please fill out the new volunteer form at: https://www.arisia.org/VolunteerSignup and add a note at the bottom about joining the Zoom meeting.
During the convention itself there will be feedback sessions (usually Saturday and Monday) and an Arisia Corporate meeting (usually Sunday). Both are open to all attendees and we encourage you to stop by and participate.
The Arisia 2023 ConCom meeting schedule will be published once it's available (ConCom meetings usually start late summer).
Dates and locations for Tagging sessions are usually posted in November.
Tagging sessions take place at our storage space in Haverhill, starting in December.
These and other Arisia meetings can be found at arisia.org/calendar.
