Arisia '05 will again be at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, in the heart of downtown Boston.

The Park Plaza has a large diversity of room sizes and types, so room rates are based upon the size and type of room, rather than on the number of people in the room. Note that the larger (nicer) rooms, and rooms with two double beds tend to sell out quickly, so please plan accordingly.

$79 Standard Single

Small room with a single bed. Limited floor space.

$99 Standard Queen or Towers Queen

Regular room with a queen-sized bed. Some can hold cots.

$119 Standard King or Towers King

Regular room with a king-sized bed. Some can hold cots.

$119 Standard Double or Towers Double SOLD OUT

Regular room with two double beds. Can hold one cot easily, some can hold two cots.

$139 Access King

Deluxe King type room converted for handicapped use. Very large room, one huge bathroom.

Very large room, king bed, two bathrooms. Quiet/Smoking blocks only.

Quiet Block

Non-party floors.

Smoking Block

There is one smoking floor, which is shared with non-Arisia hotel guests. Strictly a quiet floor.

Party Block

Party and Dealers' Row floors.

Party Host Block

A limited number of rooms in the Party Area especially appropriate for parties. You must email the Arisia Party Czar to communicate the room type, size, and other needs of your party and be allocated one of these rooms.

Shabbat Block

A limited number of rooms for attendees with special religious restrictions. This block is on the lowest guest floor (fifth), but rooms are near Children's Programming and 5th Floor Program Rooms. Can be very, very loud in the mornings...

Dealers' Row Block

Sales rooms (not sleeping rooms) used by dealers on Dealers' Row. You must be a registered dealer approved by the Dealer's Liaison to be assigned one of these.

Staff Block

Reserved for our hardworking loyal staff. These rooms are hidden in a double-secret area of the hotel.

Hotel Reservation Policies

To make a reservation, follow the link below or fill out one of the forms referenced below and mail it to the hotel, or fax it to the hotel at 617-423-1708. Please do not call the hotel directly to make a reservation; if you do, you will end up talking to Starwood Hotels Central Reservations and your reservation will not be processed properly.

To receive convention rate, reservations should be made by 4 PM January 14, 2005. Reservations received after that date will be accepted only on a space available basis. All room types are a request and cannot be guaranteed. Assignment of room types is based on a first reserved, first served basis; room types are in limited quantity and may not be available in each block. Once your room has been confirmed, the hotel will send you a confirmation via US Mail. Send email to the Arisia Innkeeper with questions or concerns about your hotel reservation. Send email to the Arisia Hotel Liaison with any general hotel (non-reservation) concerns or questions you may have.

Rates

Rates range from $79 - $295 per night plus 12.45% tax, depending on room type. You will be informed of your rate when you receive your confirmation letter, approximately 3 weeks after your room reservation form is received by the hotel. If the requested room type is not available, you will be confirmed at an alternate (usually cheaper) rate and wait-listed for your preferred room type and rate. If your preferred room type becomes available later, your reservation and rate will be automatically adjusted to your original request.

Please note there are sometimes delays as Arisia and Boston Park Plaza process reservations. We try to adjust block sizes as reservations arrive to give as many people as possible their first choice. It is our plan to try and ensure that everyone will get either their first or second choice room. The few exceptions are usually where a second choice was not specified, or both the first and second choice are Suites and/or Deluxe Doubles.

In the case where you cannot get your first request - if the request is for a King the reservation is blocked into an Deluxe King or Standard Queen unless otherwise indicated for a second choice. Deluxe Double requests that cannot be satisfied are normally blocked in a Standard Double unless the second choice specifies another available type. For a Suite request, the next best thing is usually an Deluxe King.

Cots (Rollaway Beds) and Cribs and Minifridges

If you need a cot for an extra person, and you inform us now by checking the box on the reservation form, the charge will be $20. The charge for cots requested at check-in will be $30 subject to availability. There is no charge for cribs, subject to availability. Mini-fridges (door cubes) can be requested at a price of $25 each. Please use the web form form for requests
