Art Show

Dear Artist,

You are invited to enter the Arisia '04 Art Show, which will be held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts from January 16th - 18th 2004. Arisia has the largest science fiction & fantasy Art Show in the Northeast, and we would be pleased to exhibit your work for our 2,500 attendees. Enclosed you will find a copy of the rules and fees (HTML) (PDF) for our show along with a reservation form (Word) (PDF) to request display space for your work.

There is also an Arisia registration form (PDF) for those of you who plan to attend in person. You do not need to be a member of the convention in order to display artwork in the art show, but you do need to purchase a membership in order to attend the convention. We encourage your attendance since the convention itself is a great deal of fun!

Please note that this year the Arisia Art Show is offering a new entry option for your work: in addition to our regular Art Show there will be a Jury Review process available. Participation in the Jury Review process is NOT required to enter work in the Art Show. Artists can reserve space and display their pieces as they always have if they wish. Please see the rules and fees (HTML) (PDF) for specific instructions on submitting work for Jury Review. Artists with pieces accepted by the Jury will receive prominent placement and signage within the Art Show. The theme for the Jury Review is "The Future of Freedom."

Pieces not accepted for the Juried Show may still be placed in the regular Art Show on a space available basis. Artists may have both Juried and non-Juried pieces in the Art Show. Pieces accepted for the Juried Show have the same fee structure as other pieces. There will be a special program panel at the convention highlighting and discussing the artwork which is selected by the Jury.

Art is sold at Arisia by written bid; a voice auction will be held on Sunday for those pieces which accumulate five or more written bids. The Print Shop is available for those artists who wish to sell multiple copies of reproductions for a fixed price. Please see our rules and fees (HTML) (PDF) for complete information.

Because we are limited by space considerations we encourage you to file your reservation form (Word) (PDF) as soon as possible. We hope to hear from you soon and look forward to seeing you and your work in January 2004!
