Hotel Information

Arisia '03 will again be at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, in the heart of downtown Boston.

The Park Plaza has a large diversity of room sizes and types, so room rates are based upon the size and type of room, rather than on the number of people in the room. Note that rooms with two double beds tend to sell out quickly, so please plan accordingly.

Room Types and Rates

$79 Main Single - Small room with a single bed. Limited floor space.
$99 Main Queen - Regular room with a queen-sized bed. Some can hold cots.
$119 Main King - Regular room with a king-sized bed. Some can hold cots.
$119 Main Double - Regular room with two double beds.
$139 Executive King - Very large room, king bed, two bathrooms. Quiet block only.
$139 Family Double - Very large room, two double beds, two bathrooms. Quiet block only.
$139 Junior Suite - Huge room with king-sized bed and extra furniture. Quiet block only.
$225 1 Bedroom Suite - King room, separate Parlor room with a fold-out sofa bed. Quiet block only.
$295 2 Bedroom Suite - The height of luxury, available in limited numbers. Quiet block only.

Room Blocks

Quiet Block - Non-party floors.
Party Block - Dealers Row and Party Floors.
Party Host Block - A limited number of rooms in the Party Area especially appropriate for parties. You must email parties@arisia.org to be confirmed in one of these.
Shabbat Block - A limited number of rooms for attendees with special religious restrictions.
Smoking Block - There is one smoking floor, which is shared with non-Arisia hotel guests. Strictly a quiet floor.
Staff Block - Reserved for our hardworking loyal staff.

Hotel Reservation Policies

To make a reservation, fill out the enclosed form, mail it to the hotel, or fax it to the hotel at 617-423-1708. Please do not call the hotel directly to make a reservation; if you do, your reservation may not be processed properly.

To receive convention rate, reservations should be made by 4 PM January 10, 2003. Reservations received after that date will be accepted only on a space available basis. All room types are a request and can not be guaranteed. Assignment of room types is based on a first reserved, first served basis; room types are in limited quantity and may not be available in each block. ALL ROOM ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE MADE BY ARISIA. Once your room has been confirmed, you may verify your assigned room type and block on Arisia's web site (www.arisia.org/hotel), using your confirmation number and last name. Email hotel@arisia.org with any concerns or questions you may have after you receive your confirmation.

Rates

Rates range from $79 - $295 per night plus 12.45% tax, depending on room type. You will be informed of your rate when you receive your confirmation letter, approximately 3 weeks after your room registration form is received by the hotel. If the requested room type is not available, you will be confirmed at an alternate rate and wait-listed for your preferred room type and rate. If your preferred room type becomes available later, your reservation and rate will be automatically adjusted to your original request.

Cots (Rollaway Beds) and Cribs

If you need a cot for an extra person, and you inform us now by checking the box on the registration form, the charge will be $15. The charge for cots requested at check-in will be $25. There is no charge for cribs, subject to availability. Please check the box on the registration form if you need a crib.

Changes and Cancellations

To change or cancel a reservation, please email the hotel at park-plaza@arisia.org, or call 617-457-2435. Changes to a room type will be honored only based on availability. All changes must be received by 4PM on January 10, 2003. Cancellations must be made by 6PM on the day of arrival to avoid a one night charge of room and tax.
