The Lens Arisia '01

This schedule is tentative and subject to change before (and even during) the convention. It is provided here to give you an idea of what we are planning.

ARISIA 2001 TABLETOP GAMING SCHEDULE

as of January 8th, 2001

All games listed here are taking place in the Stanbro Room on the Mezzanine level across the divide from the elevators.  Additional games may still be added to the schedule from 5pm Friday to 5pm Sunday (very limited space still available during Saturday afternoon).  Contact: Gaming@Arisia.org

At the con, check in at the Stanbro Room for an updated list of games or to see if there's space and time to schedule any more.  Pick-up games may be played on any available unscheduled tables.

Tables are large round or 5'X6' (can be slid apart for (2) 2.5'X6' for board or card games).

Games labeled "New players welcome," are open to curious newcomers as well as experienced players.  All of the people presenting these games will be quite happy to teach the rules.  We have lined up a number of exciting introductory games to lure new gamers into our clutches.  Bwa Ha Ha Ha....

Games labeled "Additional players may join the game in progress" means that if you show up late and there's still room for more players, you can join in the game already in progress, or perhaps take the role of temporary non-player character(s) in one of the role-playing games.

Even if you're not planning on playing any games, do stop by the room to check it all out.  We have some miniatures games running that make great spectator sports: the Clan War demo games and tournament is full of large colorfully painted armies ; watch the podracing mayhem as Micromachine Podracers zoom through 3-D canyons and everyone cheers for young Anakin to slam into a cliffside; the Looney Lab Rabbits at the (Unofficial) Pop-Tart Cafe will be adding a distinctive flavor to the room; Seer Inc., Boston Gamers, Goblintooth, and others are all providing a wide range of games for players of all skill levels.

Those interested in participating in the Clan War tournament -- this is limited to 10 players.  You may sign up in advance for this event by sending email to Mark Perneta at turing2@rcn.com.  Bring your own armies according to the standard tournament rules.  For standard tournament rules, see: www.clanwar.com/rules/.  2000 point armies; players who send their completed army list to Mark by Friday Jan. 5 may add an additional 50 bonus points to their army.  The competition on Saturday will be 3 rounds Swiss style, no elimination.  The final two rounds on Sunday will be single elimination for the top 4 competitors.  Players who do not make the semi-finals or other additional players are welcome to do pickup games.

  Come join the fun!
